Thanks to all who helped in our Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup
Saturday April 28th, 2018 saw the neighborhood enveloped in dense fog for the annual Adopt-A-Highway litter cleanup at Brubaker Inc.
Approximately two miles of roadway along Rohrerstown Road and McGovernville Road (PA Route 741) from Rohrerstown north to PA Route 283 were cleaned of litter and other trash. In a little less than 4 hours almost two dozen bags of trash, along with various and sundry car parts, building materials, wooden components from signs and pallets, articles of clothing, and such were collected.
We often fine some interesting items during our Adopt-a-Highway events. This one didn't disappoint--- there was a pristine shopping card to a local well known store in the collection, and a very clean (and very empty) kitchen trash container. In addition, a pristine autographed souvenir Lancaster Barnstormers baseball bat was recovered.
Many thanks to all who helped to make the roadway and neighborhood a little cleaner!
